Mike, I love the intro chapter--smuggling the Cape St. Francis footage through India. Ha ha, great story. I can't wait to get a signed copy and relive the time -- through your tales -- when my awareness of surfing began; the time when, as a kid, I watched The Endless Summer on TV and dreamed of being...A Surfer!

the site looks amazing. I'm super stoked you're putting your experiences into writing for all of us to learn from and enjoy. This will be a collectors piece for my library and it will come to great use in passing down knowledge to my son form the legends.On another note the footage of mattison ripping Trestles on your Black Knight Quad is rad.I saw it on transworld business site. It's got to be a great story behind that board design. That footage should be passed around more.

I look forward to reading an epic book about a guy who had the courage to live life his way and who achieved notoriety and acclaim in his own lifetime. Congratulations on finishing it!

This book is great. It is so funny. I learned things about Michael I never knew. There are few surfers that will ever do what Michael has done.
I remember when I met him at WindanSea. He was like no other, slicked back hair, wearing a watch, surfing like a dancer. He was the style master and a rock star. We share an incredible son and 3 fantastic grandchildren.
Michael has done more in one life time than most surfers have done in 20. This book is a great read and the history of a generation.

Wishing you the best! You were always a star. Can't wait to read the book and look back at some of those crazy adventures - Hawaii, Australia, High Street and Tony's motor home. Life continues to be that great adventure - but the reality of "nothing is promised" becomes more clear each day. Enjoy every moment.
